]The hype youth is the arm of the habitation of praise ministry.

Our vision

Is for the youth to understand that this is the time for them to maximize their strength and positively affect their community (pro 20:29), to create togetherness and establish a forum whereby young ones would discover and appreciate themselves, ability to create awareness and motivate the sense of obedience and tolerance, to promote self-appreciation time for being a youth and give no chance to intimidation and manipulation of peer pressure in the community (Eccl 11:9), to also promote unity and peaceful atmosphere and build a well fortify youth and young ones network, characterized with good attitudes and moral in church and community. To also organise and maintain youth rally with a focus on seminars, conference, picnic, and other resourceful events. Ability to witness to others as God convert their soul and knows God personally (Eccl 12:1), promoting and encouraging one another to become a visionary and achievers by making hay while the sunshine (Lam:3:27; Act 2:17), total liberty to self and everyone without any self-pity and failure (Tim 4:12) and equipping the youth on how to take challenges and move to the next level (Heb 5:13).

Our Mission Statement Year 2012

In the year 2012 the youth had various set targets that we aimed to work towards. During that year we met 2 Saturdays in a month where we could invite our friends to come and listen to the word of God. Our two main book was the book of John which focused on the journey of Jesus Christ and the book of Proverbs which was to help us young Christians understand the word of God better and to discipline us into being righteous. ‘Wisdom’ was also something we focused on and it was something that our youth leader told us to ask God for, ‘Wisdom’. We started up a youth fund which was to come from a weekly contribution from each and every youth which would vary in regards to their weekly allowance, 10% of what we got weekly was to be invested into the youth fund. This proved to be very effective as it thought us how to pay or tithe and it showed us the importance of paying it, as eventually, it proved to be for our own benefit. #Galatians 6: 7 ‘Do not be deceived God has not mocked whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.’ On March 17th we also had a Youth Event Program whereby we invited youths from other churches to come together and hear the word of God. We addressed moral issues through a drama, through poetry, praise and worship, performances, and questions and answers. The Youth programme brought us closer together as youths and gave us confidence that as Children of God we could take over nations. Our central pint throughout the year was ‘Wisdom’ it is also something we truly needed to focus on during the performance. #Proverbs 1: 5 ‘A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.’ This has a lot to do with the fact that the event was about the decisions we young people make due to influence and how we apply wisdom to our everyday life. Again the money from the youth fund proved to be very useful during the youth event as it helped us along with the Church cover various expenses. We also planned for a youth trip to Butlins whereby the majority of the youth were able to go, this proved to be a very good experience for all of us and it was highly rewarding. In October the Youth was finally able to help out at a soup kitchen for the Salvation Army, unfortunately not all the youth had the opportunity to do so, but 6 youth member was able to represent the rest of the youth. # Ephesians 4: 32 ‘And be kind to one another, kindhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.’ In November the Youth had a Talent Night, whereby we invited other youths to come and show their talent and to share the word of God. We also took part in a raffle which again enabled us to build up our youth fund. Our Memory verse in 2012 was Philippians 3: 4 ‘I can do all things through God who strengthens me’. New Year!!!

The year 2013 This year the themes we are focusing on are; reflection, obedience and respect. All significant and relevant things in young people’s lives nowadays. Reflecting on the past year and what we did not do what we should improve and what we need to do. Reflecting on our relationship and connection with God, how we can improve it and increase it. Obedience in terms of being obedient to our parents, to time to our duties both within and outside of Church and most importantly being obedient to the word of God which covers all of the above. Respect is something that we will all need to have at present for one another and it is a tool that we will require for the rest of our lives and thus we are trying to work on mutual respect amongst us youth and towards those who are older than us. #Proverbs 1: 33 ‘But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure without fear of evil.’ Our memory verse this year is # Roman 1:16-17 ‘For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also the Greek. 17 For in the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written the “the just shall live by faith” ‘ What we are planning to achieve this year is to build up our youth fund more and more so that we can try to finance our projects with as little help from the church as possible. By doing cake sales and a £1 contribution to the youth every month. We have already carried out on youth service and we hope to continue to do so every three months whereby the youth take over the service. We are also planning to do another you event in July and our theme will be soldiers of Christ. By the Grace of God, this event will be greater, bigger and better than the previous one. We are also planning another trip to Butlins in August in order to celebrate all the youth who will be leaving for University this summer. We are also hoping that before they go to University, they receive the Holy Spirit along with the rest of the youth.

The year 2013 is H.Y.P.E Youth’s year and it is a year of Divine and Double Honour and the Youth will continue to be favoured and they will increase their relationship with God. We will be using the money from our fundraising to subsidize the Butlins trip and this time around the youth will contribute their own money towards the food. We are also going to sponsor two Charities Great Holmond’s Street and Oxfam to which we will be giving £3 a month each. We have started doing our youth services again, the first one this year was on 17th February 2013 and we are planning to do one every 3 months, in order to increase our relationship with God. #Psalm 119:89-90 Forever, O Lord thy word is settled in heaven. 90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou has established the earth, and it abideth. The Year of 2013 had just begun and the Youth have already achieved So much and by the Grace of God we will continue to be favoured and to move towards greater and better things HYPE youth have yet to show their potential and there is so much more left for us to achieve, as we build our relationship with God and as we continue to give him all the Glory and Adoration.
