The primary purpose of the Evangelism Ministry is to seek lost souls, give them the knowledge of the grace of Salvation and guide them to have an experiential relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In other words, we have the spiritual responsibility of rescuing the perishing and caring for the dying. The second purpose is to strengthen those that are already saved by teaching, instructing, exhorting, encouraging, admonishing and counselling them in the Word of God so that they can maintain a consistent, daily walk with Christ.
Members of this Ministry are equipped with the Word of God and spiritual materials like tracts, fliers, etc to effectively spread the gospel to those who are yet to know Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior. We derive inspiration and strength from the great commission and express command given by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Matthew 28 verses 19 and 20 to “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to all creatures…behold I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Our mission is to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations.
As the lights of the world, our members use their individual spiritual gifts, talents and resources for evangelism and discipleship.
Another purpose of this Ministry is to mobilize the Congregation members of the Church to share the gospel and the love of Christ through personal evangelism (individually) and group evangelism (collectively).
The Bible says, “In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening withhold not your hand: for you do not know which one will prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.” (Ecclesiastes 11:6) That is why we diversified our evangelism strategies of reaching out to souls. These include, but not limited to: giving out tracts and fliers; sending texts and e-mails; telephone conversation; e-chat; posting of information on Facebook; and visitation. Since follow up is an integral part of evangelism, and knowing very well that a seed planted without nurturing will die, we follow up the people whom we have evangelized.
